The 3rd trimester has just started. It is a perfect opportunity to restock and refocus. We only have a short time remaining to master or literacy skills. As we start the third trimester, students have just finished up their narrative writing unit with some fabulous memories and family stories. They have also read about some interesting people and an exciting adventure survival fiction novel.
Kicking off the third trimester students will be enthralled in poetry.
As a side note, did you know there is now a homework club that meets Monday-Thursday after school in the Twain Computer Lab? It is from 3:30-4:45. Students can use the computers and get help on homework. What an awesome opportunity! If a student would like to set up an appointment with me to work together after school, they can do that and then head to the club. There is also a late bus for those who can not get a ride or walk home.
